The Rosslare - Cherbourg sea route is served year-round by two separate ferry companies; Brittany Ferries and Stena Line. The overall service level is five to six sailings a week in each direction.

Cherbourg ferry terminal (gare maritime) to Cherbourg railway station (Gare SNCF) & vice versa.

Cap Cotentin line 2 provides a link between the ferry terminal and railway station and vice versa. The journey takes nine minutes.

Cherbourg station has a ticket office, ticket machines, shop, waiting room and toilets.

First and second class accommodation is available on the train. There are open carriages (as pictured here) and corridor coaches (with compartments off them).
